WIRED Magazine Spread

Concept - "The Telltale Heart" is an article about a medical mystery with a wearable witness. This eerie article was published in WIRED Magazine in 2019, I was tasked with creating a cover page and spread to go along with it. 

Target Audience - Enjoyers of WIRED Magazine and the like.
Role in Project - My role within this project was to create a spread for this article in WIRED's signature quirky style. This included gathering images that would go along with the article and fit the theme. I then had to create a layout that would look at home within a WIRED Magazine.

Skills - Creating a theme that applies to a specific style. Gathering images and creating a layout that sticks with the style. As well as using Adobe InDesign.

Challenges + Successes - Creating a design that looks like someone else's style definitely has a learning curve that comes with it. I had to really study existing WIRED spreads and pick apart the techniques they were using and then apply them within this project. In the end, having to create according to someone else's style really pushed outside my comfort zone and resulted in a product I would never had created on my own.
