Safran Defense & Space - Graphic Design Internship

Concept -During my internship at Safran Space & Defense, I developed a variety of design collateral to support the company's internal and external communications. My work included creating social media graphics, trade show advertisements, and booth materials to enhance brand visibility. Additionally, I designed internal documents such as presentation slides and informational lists, ensuring consistency with the company’s branding and communication standards.

Target Audience - Safran Space & Defense primarily serves government agencies, military organizations, aerospace and defense contractors, and high-tech industries, emphasizing precision, reliability, and technological innovation in its communications to professionals in highly specialized and security-sensitive fields.

Role in Project - In these projects, my role as a Graphic Design Intern was to collaborate with directors from both DSI and external branches, translating their requirements into visually compelling designs while incorporating creative direction to enhance the final outcome.

Skills - During my time at Safran Space & Defense, I developed a diverse set of skills that enhanced both my technical expertise and professional adaptability. Working in a corporate environment taught me how to navigate design within brand and industry constraints, ensuring that all materials aligned with company standards while maintaining visual appeal. Additionally, I refined my proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, learning to integrate multiple design techniques within a single project to create polished and cohesive visuals. This experience strengthened my ability to balance creativity with strategic design solutions in a fast-paced, professional setting.

Challenges + Successes - Working in a corporate environment taught me how quickly businesses operate and the importance of meeting tight deadlines. I had to adapt to this fast-paced setting, trusting my abilities to execute tasks efficiently and accurately. This experience helped me build confidence in both my skills and my work, reinforcing my ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high-quality design standards.
